AvoDerm (Chicken & Herring Meal)

Avocados make for AvoDerm. It is an interesting mix of adverting and animal nutrition. Even with the price and its sleek marketing, it is an average buy and I would look at Authority Adult cat food as a better buy as it slightly better but its price is much lower than Avoderm.

The cat food starts off well enough with the chicken meal but from there clearly, cheap grains are used to make up the rest of the cat food. The next bulk item is whole corn and then corn gluten. For the price it sells at I would have expected this food to be much cheaper.

They have used brown rice as a fibre source which is a good sign and also a fish meal for omega 3 fatty acids. Overall it is an average cat food but in my view, it is simply overpriced for what it contains. They also rounded off the product with a multivitamin which is standard in most pet products. It could have done better with more protein sources and also a lower price if they had been planning on selling it as is.

What’s good about this food

There are no by-products in this cat food which is good. It does contain as its main ingredient chicken meal with fish meal and a good multivitamin.  Not a top-tier product but certainly not a bad cat food either.
